Sync with iCloud and Apple Health

Two optional Pro features with different jobs and data ownership.

iCloud: your devices together

Open Settings from the gear icon at the top-right, then Sync . Enable iCloud sync. Protein Tracker Pro and your iCloud account are required.

iCloud sync covers entries, presets and goals. Sign in to the same iCloud account on your devices and enable the app's sync. This is different from an app login: Protein Tracker has no separate user account.

Turning off sync stops future changes; it does not delete data already stored in iCloud. Removing the app deletes local data from that device, but not its existing iCloud data. See the English privacy policy for deletion options.

Apple Health: share protein records

In the same Sync screen, choose Apple Health and grant the permissions you want. The app exports entries you create and reads protein entries from other sources. Apple Health integration requires Pro and a device where Health data is available.

Entries from other Health sources are read-only here. Change them in Apple Health. If you deny permission, return to Apple Health or iOS Settings to change it; the Sync screen refreshes permission controls when you return.

Data after reinstalling

Protein Tracker retains app-owned history separately from external Health records. Old app-owned Health samples do not automatically become the app's canonical history. When offered, the cleanup screen lets you review old app-owned samples for exact removal; review the decision before confirming.

Avoid assuming every record from another source is a duplicate. Please contact me with the record's source, date and app version if entries don't match what you expect.
